setting the table

What does it mean to have food that's placeless? It means food that carries everything with it. It's food likely found in Spain, speaking English, with a perfume of Yemeni spices and Hungarian chilies. It is wrapped in cabbage leaves from Alsace, and prefers vodka and all manner of red wine.

In 2015, I began to apply my culinary training, cultural curiosity, and research skills to show that Jewish food is not lost, can teach us a great deal about history, and help enrich our spiritual lives today!

What’s Jewish food to you? Come sit around the table and join the conversation!
