Jonathan Lev Posner aspires to instill joy and make deep meaning for Jewish communities and Jewish people, wherever and whoever they are. Jonathan is a classically trained chef and completed his rabbinic training at The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) in New York City. Jonathan also completed a Master's program at JTS's Davidson School of Education focused on executive leadership and management.
Jonathan works in various settings and is known for producing inspiring workshops and events that nurture Jewish learning and ritual through food. Jonathan's Jewish life is built upon food and a commitment to radical hospitality to serve Jews of all stripes.
Jonathan is an education and community development consultant, working internationally with BBYO and in Chicago - his hometown -with Congregation Rodfei Zedek and Mishkan Chicago.
Jonathan has worked as the Park Slope Jewish Center's rabbinic intern, with Hillel International's Office of Innovation as an entrepreneurship fellow, Park Avenue Synagogue's Young Professionals, Cornell Hillel, The Den Collective, and the Prizmah Jewish Day School Network. Jonathan has also studied under Rabbi Benay Lappe of SVARA, a queer-oriented, "traditionally radical" yeshiva in Chicago.
